This rollacoaster that you are about to go on is the hardest and most beautiful thing you will ever do in your life and I know you don't know it yet because you haven't experienced it yet, all I can tell you is it is magical and soul defining. I know this may be the first time for you and you don't really know what is coming in the first year but you are about to go on a journey which is such a wild ride and at the end of it when your baby is no longer a baby and is now a toddler...it is life affirming and life defining and getting through that first year is such a rite of passage, that you made it. When you give birth you become a mother , but when you get through the first year you're a mummy.

1.

Maternity shoot

An intimate maternity session to capture the joy, excitement and unique beauty of your pregnancy. Radiant backlighting, deep shadows and flattering poses capture you and your growing bump in beautiful fine art images. Feel free to bring a selection of outfits to use alongside the purpose made maternity gowns I have available in the studio.

I recommend booking your Maternity session for when you are around 7 to 8 months pregnant, the most comfortable stage of pregnancy. Partners and siblings are very welcome to join your session. Your Maternity Session will focus on capturing your beautiful new shape and celebrating the tiny life you are nurturing inside you.

The (optional) bump shoot is included in your package along with a complimentary 2 digital images from your session. Every pregnancy is different, and if you don’t feel like it, then it is perfectly OK to skip this session. However you feel now i want to assure you that my studio is a relaxed and fun place to be and though you feel way out your comfort zone, I'll put you at ease, guide you through and you may even enjoy it!

2.

Newborn shoot

Your newborn portraits will be simple, natural, and timeless. The focus is your baby’s beautiful features. In addition to directed poses, I always incorporate natural, baby-led poses that show your baby’s unique personality and close-up images of details such as hands, feet, lips, and eyelashes so you can remember every tiny feature. Sibling and family photos are also included

Each image is edited by hand to make sure your baby looks as beautiful in print as she does when you look at her. A full newborn session lasts around 2 hours (occasionally longer) to make sure there is plenty of time for feeding, changing, and comforting your newborn. The best time to photograph newborns is under 21 days when they are very sleepy and are flexible to curl up into those womb like poses you adore. Following your shoot you will recieve 2 digital images as part of your package from your session!

3.

Sitter shoot

These sessions are all about capturing the sweet milestones that happen in the first year of your baby's life! Grabbing their toes, giggling, putting anything and everything in their mouths, tummy time, sitting up, crawling, etc etc! My goal is to capture those precious details for you so that you have them for a lifetime!

Once your baby can sit on their own, but not yet walking, they are considered a "Sitter". This starts anywhere between 7-8 months of age and opens the door for a larger variety of props that can be used and poses your baby is now capable of accomplishing during their session.

Babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves off the ground, this brings opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub, these sessions are fun and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!

I have lots of props and outfits to style your photosession and you are very welcome to bring any personal items to create something extra special. Following your shoot you will recieve 2 digital images as part of your package from your session!

4. Birthday shoot

To celebrate your baby’s first birthday we will invite you back for your final session to get messy with a personalised birthday cake! A Cake Smash Session is a huge hit with babies and toddlers! Perfect for first, second and third Birthdays, your little one can not only eat the cake but smash it to bits! A Cake Smash produces brilliant photographs and is fantastically messy fun for all, but dont worry we also have the bath tub session to wash it all off and the babies love splashing about. Why not use the images on your Birthday Party invites?

Cake Smashing offers a unique way of celebrating your little one’s birthday. My cake smashing shoots are lots of fun and can be as messy as you want, but once you see the pictures you will be so glad you came!! Cake Smashing pictures are AMAZING!! The Client is fully involved with me, designing the theme, props and costumes to create the session of their dreams! Typically done when baby is 11 months old and session lasts around 45mins. Following your shoot you will recieve 2 digital images as part of your package from your session!
