“Rainbow Baby” is a baby who is welcomed into a family after there has been a loss experienced due to miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth. A Rainbow baby is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravage of the storm. When a rainbow appears it does not mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with it’s aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds.
Victoria Sturdy Photography has a strong ethos towards volunteer charity work and celebrating the miracle of new life. Victoria Sturdy is pleased to follow on from her time with Addenbrookes NICU charity and Remember My Baby charity to now “give back” to families of Rainbow Babies.
Not only does the Rainbow Baby gift session give a cherished gift to families that are very deserving it allows the opportunity to initiate discussion of what is a very sensitive but important topic of infant loss. Victoria Sturdy Photography is able to offer one Rainbow Baby Gift Session per year to eligible families.
*please note: these sessions are to be held within two weeks of birth for newborn...7-9 months for sitter and 11-14 months for cakesmash. 12m+ for outdoor family session. Please allow a minimum of 8 weeks in advance of due date to be considered, the earlier the better.

These sessions are to be held within two weeks of your baby’s birth date for newborn, 6-9months for sitter and 11 months for birthday/cake smash , 12m-2yrs for Walking Family sessions. or Maternity shoot 28-34 weeks

RAINBOW SESSION INFORMATION:
Images are captured using natural window light
For babies all props including blankets, beanies, bonnets, wraps, throws and headbands are sourced from the finest local and international suppliers and are available for your session
Specific styling requests cannot be accommodated due to the nature of the gift sessions
Vicky's home studio includes a comfortable lounge area where you can settle in, relax and enjoy watching your little one’s first professional photo shoot
