Covid-19 Victoria Sturdy Photography Studio Safety & Return to Work Guide

I just thought I would write this blog to give you a little update and to let you know I've been doing a little research on the option or reopening the studio following the government update on the changes to the restrictions last week.

I wanted to touch base with all of you and let you knoe what I am planning to do in terms on how we move the buisness forward and start to book sessions , which sessions I have thinking of introducing and when. I have decided not to offer any outdoor sessions in June. This is a personal decision as I have school age children who are currently no eligiable to return to school in June and so I will need to look after them and so I do not have the time to give my clients the best experience I feel you deserve from me

I am really hopeful that I will be able to offer Maternity, sitter, and cake smash sessions for July and I am putting together a package for that and if you want to be in the know for the first chance to book as these session will be very limited spaces. Keeping You Safe

Appointments only 

I will protect mu clients by making appointments for you to visit and ensure ample time between bookings to avoid crossover.

Maintain a hygienic workplace

I will put in place regular hygiene procedures. I am posting the Staying Safe! Staying Healthy poster on my social media and website and will be with all my client that have bookings and let them know that I am opening safely and the steps you are taking.

Practice social distancing

I will be compiling with social distancing, and maintaining at least 2 meters from you and your baby. I will be asking you to handle your baby, for you and your customers’ safety.

Encourage card payments

I will be suggesting only card payments, so I minimise contact with customers. Convenient Delivery. i will contact my suppliers to arrange convenient delivery times to suit my clients. I can assure you all my product deliveries are sent directly to customers to reduce contact.

Prepare with PPE

I will make sure you have the appropriate PPE , I may be wearing a facemask and extra handsanitiser and or your business to give confidence to colleagues and customers.

Safety Guidelines for Clients

• People attending the session must be from the same household. 
• Staggered appointment times so that appointments do not overlap, customers do not have to wait and / or meet other family groups.
• If you are going to be late for your appointment you must call to notify us. Your appointment may be cancelled to avoid family groups meeting and overcrowding.
• Schedule bookings to prevent anyone travelling at rush hour.
• People visiting the studio should avoid travelling by public transport where possible.
• Photographers to wear appropriate PPE. Eg. visor, mask and gloves.
• Photographers to rotate between shoots in minimise exposure to different family groups.
• Hands washed before and after each session.
• All props and outfits washed or sanitised after every use.
• Half hour cleaning window between each session.

We ask in advance for your understanding while we enforce our precautions – some of which may be a little uncomfortable and/or inconvenient.  However, we deal with the most delicate population – pregnant moms, newborns (some premature) and children and families with compromised immune systems.  You will also notice that our studio won’t look quite as inviting and pretty as it did before, but we will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible during your session. We thank you in advance for understanding and cooperating with us.  

Please note that IF you need to reschedule a session due to illness (or because you’ve been around someone who has been ill, or if we check your temperature and it registers high), you will NOT lose your session fee – we will just reschedule to a time when everyone is sure that they are healthy.
